These are period 1920s to 1930s art deco dining chairs, they are not reproduction or 'in the style of', these are the real thing! :-) |

As you can see from the photos the upholstery is in a rather sorry state and would probably need replacing. Ideal project here if you are starting an upholstery class or college course. With some wear on the seats, a few scuff marks and stains, tears and holes. The springs and webbing are all still strong though making these art deco dining chairs very comfortable to sit in. Some of the joints do have a slight wobble but the joints are good which is an indication that the original glue has just dried out over the years. |

The original polish has faded and dried out but just needs reviving with a few coats of new french polish applied. With a small amount of work these genuine Art Deco Dining Chairs could be brought back to life ready to last another 80 years or so.
