This genuine art deco armchair is in its original condition. Its a period 1920s to 1930s art deco armchair, not reproduction or 'in the style of', this is the real thing! |

As you can see in the photos the upholstery is in a very worn and stained condition with some tears and holes, this armchair would need re-covering and re-upholstery. The springs and webbing are all still strong though making this art deco armchair very comfortable to sit in. An ideal project here if you are taking an upholstery course or furniture restoration class, but if you would like me to quote for the restoration and re-French polishing of the woodwork and/or the re-upholstery then please do not hesitate to contact me. click here to view some 'Before and After' photos of some other recent projects. |

The beautifully steam bent curved arms on these armchairs are each made from solid walnut, they do have a slight wobble but the joints are fine and would be easy to re-glue during the upholstery process. And with absolutely no woodworm (past or present) in any of the woodwork at all. But again if you would like the arms and legs fully restored and re-French polished prior to delivery to your own upholsterer then please do not hesitate to email me (David) at info@hungary4deco.co.uk .
